Guru gochar and the naukri question
What Guru's drishti on the dasham bhav means — and what it does not.
Guru takes about twelve months to cross a rashi, which makes its transit the one people notice most in career questions. It is also the transit most often oversold — a Guru drishti is support, not a guarantee.
What the drishti actually is
Guru aspects the 5th, 7th, and 9th rashi from wherever it sits. When one of those falls on your dasham bhav, the classical reading is that opportunities in work become more visible — mentors appear, doors open, and the direction of a career becomes easier to name.
What it is not
- It is not a job offer with a date attached.
- It does not override the dasha running underneath it.
- Retrograde Guru complicates it — openings appear and then stall.
Transit describes the weather. Dasha decides whether you are outdoors.
How we read it together
We read the dasham bhav and its swami first, then the running mahadasha and antardasha, and only then lay the gochar over both. When the transit and the dasha point the same way, the window is worth acting on. When they disagree, the dasha usually wins — and we say so rather than picking the more encouraging of the two.
